Hardware MP3 Player Design and implementation

Project

Summary:

Implemented a MP3 Player device.

Description: It is a device that is connecting to the computer in order to download the MP3 files to its flash memory. This makes the player portable; it can be taken anywhere. The names of the downloaded files are displayed on its LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) where the user can choose any file to be played.

Used tools:

PIC16F876, 8X2 LCD, STA013 MP3 decoder, Flash memory,

programmer for the Microcontroller, Microcontroller simulator,

Microcontroller assembler, parallel port for test the chips, and

Breadboards

Grade:

Excellent.

Awards:

1- The project was selected to participate in the distinguished projects day as one of the best projects in the faculty of Engineering in Alexandria university.

2- The Project was selected in the IEEE’s Egyptian Engineering Day (EED 2004) as one of the best projects in the Egyptian engineering faculties.

3- I got offer from the computer science department chairman to teach the Microcontrollers/Hardware to sophomore students
